A live, interactive bootcamp alongside a group of like-minded individuals led by Creative Director & Briefbox founder; Joel Rosen. This course includes 96 hrs of study time made up 40% live classes, 30% group Q&A feedback sessions and 30% personal study time for homework and assignments. 

Creative leaders, business owners and decision makers are super busy, you need to learn how to stop them in their tracks and get noticed and that is the primary focus of this course - a fast track affordable way to help you get paid work in the industry.

An introduction to layout, colour, contrast and composition along with a brief history of the graphic design industry to get your creative juices flowing

Immerse yourself in the world of branding with classes on what makes a successful identity and how to begin exploring brand concepts from scratch

Branding & identity Pt 2

Learn how to roll a brand out and turn a logo concept into a consistent set of brand guidelines with classes on uniformity & creating style tiles

Working with type

How to contrast fonts to create impact, digitising letterforms and how to add your own twist to existing fonts to create unique wordmarks and visuals with type

Sourcing and creating mock-ups, creating marketing materials and how to produce stunning advertising campaigns whilst keeping consistency

Inspiring live classes, software training and weekly feedback sessions to help you improve as a designer in just 8 weeks

LOCATIONS

The bootcamp is online with classes delivered in the evening from 5pm (UK time) to enable students in the USA and other timezones to join.

All classes and software training can also be accessed via recordings of every session as and when.

How will each week be structured?

Live classes: Mon 5pm - 6.30pm (UK time)

Inspiring classes and workshops tailored around each module of the bootcamp

Software training: Mon 7pm- 8.30pm (UK time)

90 mins of software training per week focusing on Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & Figma

Homework & personal study time: Tues - Thursday (6-8hrs per week)

Choose from our library of industry standard practice briefs and focus on producing 3 exceptional client case studies over the 8 weeks

1-2-1 with your mentor: (A weekly mentoring session at a time that suits you)

A weekly recurring time slot for personal feedback & support throughout the bootcamp

Peer-to-peer groud feedback sessions: Fri 5pm - 7pm (UK time)

Group Q&A sessions with additional feedback from your mentor and an opportunity to connect with students in your cohort

Joel Rosen

Joel is the Co-founder and Creator of Briefbox. Alongside adding fresh new briefs, resources and producing the bootcamp curriculum, Joel is also an active mentor to our community. Joel is a passionate typographer and branding expert and is also the Founding partner of UK based design agency, ORCA. He previously led his own creative team on large scale brand and digital projects.

Flavia Mar

Flavia is a highly talented designer and illustrator, passionate about bespoke patterns, custom lettering and hand made, authentic textures. Flavia runs her own illustration studio and is also lead visual designer at the video editing app; Biteable. Flavia also heads up community support at Briefbox by giving students honest feedback on their progress with actionable tips and tricks to improve their skill sets.
