The world has changed since the Covid pandemic, and more and more businesses are abandoning the traditional office-based culture and shifting more towards remote-first working. Still requiring a base of operations, businesses have turned to hotdesking as a means of still regularly meeting with employees in a shared space when not working from home. As a result of this, the co-working rental industry has taken off in a big way, and as more spaces continue to open up around the country, our client has taken the opportunity to develop a new online booking platform for building managers to utilise when renting out available desks, offices and meeting rooms.

For this brief, we’re looking for talented designers to create a UI kit for an online booking calendar to be used by new co-working companies. Your designs need to be practical and functional, helping to cement the client's online offering as the easiest-to-use room booking platform currently available on the market.

Above all else, the booking calendar you design needs to be user-friendly while making the room booking process as seamless as possible. You’ll need to present visual states for a confirmed booking, an applied for / unconfirmed booking, and a busy slot for the calendar, alongside a model pop-up that lists more information on a room once a slot has been selected.

Your design needs to be clean and minimal, utilising a light colour palette and avoiding any overbearing graphics to ensure maximum legibility for the user. Remember that you're targeting business owners instead of regular consumers, so a trusted and professional look is more likely to appeal to this demographic rather than something too bold and daring.
