Starting with the idea that this honey is high quality and pure, I explored visual elements (no pun intended) of the Periodic Table. Henry's Honey became the element Hh, represented in a honeycomb shape instead of a square.
In order to avoid the design coming across as too clinical, which I worried would imply a synthetic product rather than a natural one, I added some vector illustrations of bees to bring some life and movement to the logo and label. I chose Georgia, an old style serif typeface, to bring a classic feeling to the design.
Because of the client's request for a "less is more" design, I was careful to leave some white space in my label. I intended for the brand logo to be the main focal point, with the product information secondary in the hierarchy.
