Started off with researching everything honey. In my study of the world of "apiculture", I found some interesting "honey-related" photos. I've included them in my process photo.
I created the logo to mimic the look of a bee-hive while utilizing the twin H's for Henry's Honey. The pentagon shape just clicked with me when I was designing the label and I decided to run with it. To give it a fancier explanation it also mimics the bottom half of a bee - the "stingy part" (scientific term).
As for the label I color, this was difficult. The Black and Gold offer a modern, clean feeling while also having a sort of sleek and luxurious quality. The Clear label is also sleek but is somewhat hard to read. The white is also a favorite but depending on the color of honey it may not be the best choice.
Ah, the mockups, I have a love-hate relationship with them. I tried to show a variety of different choices and applications for the logo and labels.
All in all loved working on this. Really great creative brief!
As always, any and all feedback is welcome!
