I wanted this design to have depth, yet still maintain the clean and modern look that the client wants to achieve. I did this by using subtle gold-foil embossing for the logo and textured paper for the label. I drew a sketch of a bee and a honeycomb by hand to express the organic feel of the brand. You might be wondering why I decided to use blue on a honey label. Well apart from wanting to create intrigue, I knew that blue is a royal colour associated with wealth and luxury. Furthermore, the colour will stand out on a shelf among the other, more traditional honey bottles. I also think that the blue complements the orange-golden colour of the honey quite well.
