White Tea

I was really inspired by vintage tea and travel posters as well as the "tea trains" seen in Sri Lanka along with the beautiful landscapes. I digitally created two illustrations for the background and put them together. The poster was created ideally to work with the current market that sells tea, so that's why I used real images mixed with the illustrations.

  1. Hey Marie!

Many thanks for your submission to our Tea Suppliers Poster Design.

Nice use of colour with the design. Very bright and welcoming! I'm liking the text layout too.

I think to really push this design forward, it would be worth looking at your flower cut outs surrounding the tea cup. They are looking a little out of place, and I'm wondering if it would be worth making them a little bolder on the page. I think also the image is looking a little blurry.

I think it could be nice to see another stock image used, as an extra design option, where you've used a less grainy image and added a white opacity layer over the top. I think this will help to give a greater clarity to the overall image!

I think to push these designs forwards, you could also try out different tea flavours, with different backgrounds and colours, to really test the poster design and text layout. It's always useful for the client to view a range of posters to choose from.

Overall, great work Marie! Can't wait to see your next revised designs here.

  2. Hi Gill,

I cleaned up my designs a lot and they are starting to look pretty good, but the only concern I have is that my concept will be copied by other users which I already see has started to happen. This typically happens a lot when work goes online. Of course this is not a big deal, but I was wondering if there is a private submission option.
