Project overview:

When starting out, it can be hard to know how to build your portfolio. Designing greeting and seasonal cards can be a good way to get going; they're no too time consuming, and you can actually sell through online stores, or even just to friends and family.

Play around with some custom lettering and layout designs to create your very own ‘Happy Birthday’ card. We’ve attached some of our favorite designs below to show just how many possibilities there are. It's up to you how far you want to take this; do you want to use just lettering, or include additional patterns or illustration? Simple or complex? Detailed or plain?

You may have some pattern work or pre-existing designs lying around unused that you could re-format as a card. Or, perhaps u you want start fresh and come up with something fresh? Either way, get creative and remember to upload your design back to the site for feedback.
