Project overview:

An up-and-coming creative magazine called 'Ampersand' is looking to work with a designer to create an awesome front cover for their first issue, due to be released in September 2017. Being a super cool, creative magazine, they are obviously hoping that the chosen designer can create something that will have impact and that will stand out amongst the many other design magazines out there.

The magazine focuses on all things design, typography and illustration, and their articles will offer a variety of themes and categories to help all creatives looking to make it the design industry. To get started, begin working on some concepts for your front cover; use lorem ipsum and mock article titles.

In terms of styling, they are open to suggestions. Their only request is that it features custom elements including illustrations and lettering, as their target audience are passionate about design. Take this brief one step further by mocking-up a double- page spread once the front cover is complete, following the same theme or style to show how all the artwork would work together once printed.
