We would advise dedicating the start of this project to the research and sketching phase to really nail down your approach and create an awesome initial sketch. Once you’re happy with this design you can focus on how the design will work on the CD album as a whole. Remember also to spend some time on your mock-ups. Within your design portfolio, it’s important to show potential clients that you’ve really consider the entire design process from initial sketches to the final, resolved product.
