In category: logos & branding

Project overview:

A luxury hotel is opening its doors in Helsinki, Finland. The owner is looking for a young designer to create their new branding. The hotel – owned by two young Finnish architects – is all about modern simplicity; the interior especially emphasizes their love for minimal design.

They want their brand to reflect the hotel and its architecture. You can find inspiration for the brief by looking at minimalist architecture and design books.

The client wants to see an initial brand concept and a mini style-guide to get a sense of possible directions before moving forward. This is common when re-branding existing businesses; clients often ask to be involved in the design process, so it’s important to show your options clearly.

The name of the hotel is ‘Aki-To’. Remember to capitalise the words, and to keep it simple and minimal. Have some fun with this one, and think clean, sharp, and Finnish!

  1. What does "Aki-To" mean?
You say the logo should reflect what the company offers, can you give a brief explanation of what it is that you offer?

    Thanks.
